New 9 Axle Hydra-Steer Trailer with Dual Steering

The NEW 9 Axle Hydra-Steer trailer Dual steering enhances the already proven "load and go" skid steer method with new single frame steering capability. The new steering improves the versatility during extremely heavy loads and back hauling. The 9 Axle Hydra Steer hydraulic load equalizing frame maintains proper axle loads during travel. Sprads on this trailer can be very long and the frame width going from 8'-6" to 10'.

The Hydra Steer allows oversized loads to be moved safely and effortlessly by steering with a push button pendant located inside the tractor cab. Here show's a beam being off loaded. This 260,000-pound beam is for the people mover rail at the Atlanta International Convention Center.

Steering that becomes second nature
Steering the Hydra-Steer is accomplished with a two-button pendant located right in the cab. Most drivers report that steering is accomplished almost without thought.
Dual hydraulic steering power
Two heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders deliver the positive force to turn the axle assembly. These cylinders are mounted on each side of the trailer at the pivot-point just forward of the axle. When these cylinders are fully extended, the trailer attains an approximate 20 degree turning radius.
Self-contained power system
Hydra-Steer's hydraulic system, in a conveniently accessible cabinet, is completely independent of the truck's power supply. A compartment in the trailer houses the entire separate system including an electrically started gas engine. The cabinet is protected by a snap-out hinged steel door or cover.
Lines and cables
Trailer couples readily to any tractor for non-load travel.
