Multiple Mixers Can Be Served From A Single Acromix Batch Plant!
The Acromix Stone Caster has been introduced to the Stone Veneer and Architectural Cast Stone industries to increase casting capacity, improve product quality, labor and material efficiency, while providing an excellent return on investment.
The Stone Caster employs virtually any number of aggregate storage bins, each astride the batcher track. As in the typical Acromix plant, sand / aggregates are weighed accurately and independently in the traveling weigh batcher.
The weighed materials are brought forward where the hydraulic lifting arms engage the bucket. The bucket is raised and the contents tipped into the waiting bottom dump trolley.
The Stone Caster and other Acromix batch plants employ a time tested and proven hydraulic lifting system without the use of sheaves, cables or winches. The hydraulic cylinders are equipped with counter-balance valves as a failsafe mechanism. In the rare and unlikely event of power failure, or broken hydraulic hose, the batcher bucket is designed to stay in place, even in an elevated position and under full load.
The pre-weighed materials are transported to specified locations, typically over mixers. The sand /aggregates are gravity fed into the mixer, there combined with water cement, admixtures, and colors.
The Acromix Stone Caster is controlled by a single computer automated system. Designs and concepts are on hand for up to eight mixers. Cement may also be weighed in a separate compartment on the trolley. The Stone Caster automation will interface with admixtures and color sources, both granular and liquid.
